Privacy, terms, and your rights

This policy explains what ktix collects, why, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have. ktix is for people 18 and older.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and name. If you sign in with Google, also your Google account ID and profile photo.
• Your ideas: the ideas you save (in the app or through a connected AI assistant), the plans and research ktix generates for them, the status and notes you add, and which assistant an idea came from. When an assistant saves an idea, it may also send a short note on what you were doing (for example, “debugging the payments flow”); we store it with the idea and show it to you on the idea’s page.
• Settings: your email preferences and which assistants you have connected.
• Service data: when you last visited, basic product events (for example, that an idea was saved), and error reports from your browser, which include your browser type. Your IP address is used briefly to limit abuse and is not stored with your account.

We don’t receive your other conversations with an AI assistant, only what it sends to ktix when you ask it to.

How we use it

• To run ktix: save your ideas, write plans, research them in the background, and show them to you and your assistant.
• To sign you in and keep your account secure.
• To send the emails described below.
• To fix problems and improve ktix. We don’t use your ideas to train our own AI models, and we don’t sell or share your personal information.

Service providers

We use a small number of trusted providers to run ktix: cloud hosting and database, email delivery, and an AI model provider that writes plans and runs research, including web searches based on your idea. If you choose Google sign-in, Google handles that sign-in. Providers only process data to deliver their service to us. A list of our current providers is available on request at [email protected].

Our AI model provider’s own terms govern how it handles the content we send it, and may allow it to use that content to improve its services. Please don’t put information you need kept confidential into an idea.

AI assistants and connectors

• When you connect an assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT, Muse, or Grok, you approve the connection by signing in with a one-time code sent to your email.
• The assistant can save ideas, look up your ideas, and update an idea’s status for you. Actions it takes with your approval are treated as yours.
• You can disconnect an assistant at any time in ktix Settings or in the assistant’s own settings.

Emails

• Sign-in codes and a welcome email when you sign up.
• Research ready: if research on an idea finishes and you haven’t checked back, we email you once. On by default; turn it off in Settings or with the unsubscribe link in the email.
• Weekly digest: only if you turn it on. Every digest has an unsubscribe link.

How long we keep it

Your account and ideas are kept until you delete them. When you delete your account, it is removed from our database right away, and every connected assistant is disconnected. Copies in backups and service logs are kept for a limited time under our providers’ standard retention, then deleted automatically.

Your choices

• Export: download your account and ideas (with plans, research, and status) from Settings.
• Correct: change your name in Settings, or email us.
• Delete: delete your account in Settings, tell your assistant “delete my ktix data”, or email [email protected].
• Emails: turn optional emails off in Settings or with any unsubscribe link.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to what’s needed to run ktix, and sign-in uses one-time codes or Google rather than passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you if a breach affects you as the law requires.

Admin access

The operator of ktix can view accounts to provide support and keep the service safe, and can disable or delete accounts that break the Terms.

Do Not Track and changes

ktix doesn’t track you across other sites, and it treats every visitor the same whether or not their browser sends a Do Not Track signal. If we make a material change to this policy, we’ll update the date above and tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.

These terms are an agreement between you and Stellabyte LLC. By using ktix, you agree to them.

Who can use ktix

You must be 18 or older. You’re responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your email secure, since that’s how you sign in.

What ktix does

ktix saves the ideas you send it, directly or through a connected AI assistant, writes a quick plan for each, and researches them in the background. We may change, add, or remove features.

Your ideas are yours

You own what you put into ktix and what it generates for you. You give us permission to store, process, and display that content only to run ktix for you, including sending it to our service providers as described in the Privacy Policy. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

Acceptable use

Don’t use ktix to:

• Break the law or infringe anyone’s rights.
• Harass, threaten, or harm others.
• Submit unlawful content or try to make the AI produce it.
• Scrape, overload, or get around limits, security, or access controls.
• Resell or offer ktix to others without our permission.

AI-generated content

Plans and research are generated by AI from public web sources. They may be incomplete or wrong and are not professional, legal, financial, or business advice. Check anything important before you rely on it.

You’re responsible for how you use it

You are solely responsible for what you do on or with ktix, including what you submit, what your AI assistant does through ktix, and any decision or action you take based on its plans, research, or other AI output. Stellabyte LLC is not responsible for those actions or their results, or for content or actions of AI assistants and other services you connect.

Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Stellabyte LLC and its owners and members from any claims, losses, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of ktix, the content you submit, actions your AI assistant takes through ktix on your behalf, decisions you make based on its output, or your breach of these terms.

Connected assistants

When you connect an AI assistant, it acts on your behalf, and actions it takes through ktix with your approval are treated as yours. The assistant is provided by another company under its own terms.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or others at risk.

Use at your own risk

ktix is a free service, and you use it at your own risk. It is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don’t promise it will be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that your content won’t be lost.

No liability for indirect losses

To the extent the law allows, Stellabyte LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of ktix. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we’ll update the date above and tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use ktix after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

ktix doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and doesn’t track you across other sites.

To work, the app stores a few items in your browser’s local storage: your sign-in session, basic account details, and display preferences. If you use Google sign-in, Google’s sign-in script loads and may set its own cookies under Google’s policies.

Clearing your browser storage signs you out.

Depending on where you live (including the EU, UK, and California), you may have these rights over your personal data. The data controller for ktix is Stellabyte LLC.

• Access and portability: get a copy of your data (use Export in Settings).
• Correction: fix inaccurate data.
• Deletion: have your data deleted.
• Objection and restriction: object to or limit how we use your data.
• Withdraw consent: for example, turn off optional emails at any time.
• Complain: to your local data protection authority.

Most of these you can do yourself in Settings. For anything else, email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for using your rights.

Why we process your data

• To provide the service you asked for (contract): your account, ideas, plans, research, and service emails.
• Legitimate interests: security, preventing abuse, fixing errors, and improving ktix.
• Consent: the optional weekly digest.
• Legal obligations where they apply.

ktix doesn’t make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.

International transfers

ktix is run from the United States, and our providers may process data in the US and other countries. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or recognized frameworks offered by our providers.
